Giant From The East
I finally met this very powerful speaker at the first Liberty or Death Rally in Seattle Washington. I had never heard a speaker that was able to get a crowd to rally in support like this man. He spoke with intelligence, conviction, passion and strength. I was thrilled to hear that he would be speaking again at the second Liberty or Death Event. That speech was just as, if not more, powerful than the first. I had been trying to touch bases with him on and off between these rallies but with both of our busy schedules we were not able to make it happen, but we were able to form somewhat of a friendship while he was busy running for a seat in congress representing the eastern side of our State of Washington.
Yes, I am speaking of Jered Gavin Bonneau.
Though Jered did not win his election, he sure did shake things up and make people think. That is one of the things I love about Jered, what you see is what you get and he does not hold much back. His heart is in the right place and he is fighting for the right thing…Liberty, The Constitution, and Our Republic. All of which have been slowly chipped away at over the years. Yes, he even fights for the rights of those that speak against him to have the right to do so. That is what makes The United States what it is…a great place to live, or in this journalist’s opinion what it can be again.
Jered believes with his heart and soul in what the framers of the constitution did when they fought against tyranny and with each other to secure our God given freedoms. No, they didn’t always agree, but they had one common goal…LIBERTY.
He has been through what many have and what some hope to never have to go through. Homelessness, poverty, and some really tough times, but this is what makes him the great man he is today. He truly is one of the people. He is not a bred politician or a machine with special interests. He is We The People, for the people. I can’t help to wonder what would have happened if he would have gotten the endorsements he was hoping to get, the election I believe would have had a completely different outcome, and the State of Washington would have been much better for it.
Don’t count Jered out just yet though, he isn’t done. This man with the big voice (and let me tell you it is matched by his presence…and not just because I am an Oompa Loompa either) doesn’t know the meaning of the word quit. He will be back and it will be with a force. You can count on that.
He is a man for his country, a patriot through and through. Some look at that as a dirty word…patriot, not me. They formed this Republic, one of them, Thomas Jefferson said, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants” one of the most recent patriots to do that was my friend Lavoy Finicum. Jered watched the live stream of the Oregon events, I am assuming from Pete Santilli’s stream. He wanted to be there but, with his wife being 9 months pregnant at the time it probably would have meant his death if he went, and not from government agencies. He does show his support though I hear with a tribute to our fallen patriot brother with a tattoo that I will have to ask him to see next time we meet.
You see, we are all connected in this fight to restore our Republic, one way or another. We all have a role. Some are better at speaking, running for office, some are better behind the scenes telling the stories, seeing people for who they are, some are doers, organizers, callers…we all have a part. Jered, he motivates, he moves people, and he has the motivation within, the intelligence and the pure powerfulness in his personality to run for office and win it…that I am sure of.
Jered is yet one more person I don’t think I would have ever met had I not gone to Malhuer, I have to remember these people when I deal with yet another devastating truth from that protest, stand-off, what ever the flavor of the week is…and I say “I wish I never would have gone.” I have to remember them, I have to remember LaVoy, Corey, Debra, Pete, Deb, the folks of Burns, Hellboy and so many others that have blessed my life. I am glad I went.
I am glad that Jered is in my life, I love that he is quick to laugh, quick to defend those he cares about and not afraid to say what he thinks and feels. I look forward to getting to know him further, I think we will have a great and life long friendship, and he is definitely someone that I can hide behind if needed, that in itself is a blessing.
